Pizza Patrón is no stranger to controversial promos. In 2007, it promoted that fact it would start accepting (and still does) Mexican pesos.

One conservative group doesn’t like it, either. “It seems to punish people who can’t speak Spanish, and I resent that,” says Peter Thomas, chairman of the Conservative Caucus, which advocates English as the nation’s spoken language. “In public areas, people should be speaking English, and that includes pizza parlors.”

Work is, thus, not just an economic practice. Indeed, that every individual is required to work, that most are expected to work for wages or be supported by someone who does, is a social convention and disciplinary apparatus rather than an economic necessity. That every individual must not only do some work but more often a lifetime of work, that individuals must not only work but become workers is not necessary to the production of social wealth.

I wish the gameplay in wasteland was more fun.  I hope the sequel they’re coming out with is just as cool but where I don’t have to just read the action.

I downloaded this and couldn’t make it work on my computer. Got any tips?

The first thing I will tell you is: there’s a zine I’m putting out called Damn Fine Coffee! A Twin Peaks Fan Zine.

The second thing is: the owls are not what they seem.

The third thing is: Damn Fine Coffee! debuts this year at SPX.

That’s right! You may have been seeing some awesome work floating around for the zine I’m putting together: Damn Fine Coffee! A Twin Peaks Fan Zine. I will be at SPX this year where you can get your hands on it and feast your eyes on Twin Peaks homages by over 30 incredibly talented artists.

Damn Fine Coffee! will be going into production soon, and I’ll be posting updates on availability, price, and the possibility of pre-orders (because folks have been asking, which is very exciting) here on my blog. You can also check out my twitter for quick updates too.

Here’s the cover and a quick sampling of some of the rad work you’ll find in the zine by Ping Zhu, Gant Powell, and Ryan Fortney.

The support and the excitement from everybody has been really encouraging so thanks and stay tuned!

Most things we’ve done so far as a group has been for the purposes of a) securing a kitchen space and b) launching our Kickstarter. At this point in our trajectory, both are still unfinished projects but at present somewhat out of our hands. Whatever happens with Kickstarter will only be a…
